Weekend Workshop in Landscape Painting "Standing in serence solitude on the south bank of the Black River, the ruins of the friary still present a most impressive picture and an ideal subject for drawing or painting. Its massive proportions - covering almost an acre of ground - its gaunt gables still perfectly pointed, its gaping windows stone-mullioned and Gothic-arched, its lofty tower, and its individual features nearly perfect in every detail, all combine to make a lasting impression even at first sight" J.B. McHugh The workshop offers an enjoyable workshop experience over a two day period in an historic landscape. The main aim of the workshop is to help the student gain a better understanding of perspective, composition and landscape painting, while enjoying a relaxing time. The only disturbance you may encounter will be the odd inquisitive cow!
