Classes take place in a cosy custom built art school next to an artist’s working studio.
Jim Kavanagh’s Art School is located by the scenic shores of Lough Corrib, 15km north of Galway City. Students come from long distances to attend his art classes. Drawing and oil painting are taught in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. Jim has been painting for over twenty-five years, and has several years experience of lecturing at third level before becoming a full time established artist. His work is in private and corporate collections in various countries around the world.

Current COVID Guidelines for Adult Education are in place to ensure a safe environment for students.
WORKSHOPS
We hold one day painting workshops during the year and weekend art workshops during the summer. These are advertised on our Instagram and Facebook Page in advance.
